The Ricoh Print Head, particularly popular models like the Gen5 series (MH5421/MH5441), is an advanced industrial piezo drop-on-demand inkjet printhead designed for demanding digital printing systems. Featuring 1,280 nozzles arranged in 4 × 320 channels with staggered configuration, it achieves high-resolution 600 dpi printing across a 54.1 mm print width, supporting up to 4 colors per head with isolated ink paths. Variable droplet ejection from 7 pl minimum to 35 pl maximum enables excellent grayscale rendering (up to 4 levels) for smooth gradients, fine details, and professional image quality at firing frequencies up to 30 kHz in binary mode or 20 kHz in grayscale. Compatible with UV-curable, solvent, eco-solvent, aqueous, and specialty inks, it offers enhanced durability, recirculation support in select models, and stable jetting even with challenging fluids. The compact design (approximately 89 × 25 × 69 mm) and integrated heater ensure reliable performance in high-volume environments with minimal maintenance.
